Everyone is familiar with the tragedy of 9/11, the three buildings that collapsed, the pentagon, and Flight 93. But there are facts about this day that don’t add up. There are things that the public have become ignorant of. For example, does anyone remember World Trade Centre 7 (you may have noticed i mentioned three buildings collapsing instead of 2)? In world history there is not one building that has “collapsed” due to fire, which is what we are meant to believe was the scenario on 9/11.

Steel melts at 7,500 degrees Fahrenheit which is 100 degrees hotter than the oxygen deprived fires from the planes fuel. C4 or other explosives are able to reach temperatures of 3000. When the towers collapsed they did so at a free fall speed of gravity, the towers could not have fell this fast without explosives, if there weren’t explosives the towers would have fell at a slower speed due to the resistance of the undissolved structure underneath the falling portions of the buildings. The buildings feel straight down; just like a professional demolition.

There is alot more, just watch this video:

Parents and their children always have their disagreements. But there are times when there seems to be no apparent reason for their ruling. They look out for us I understand, but sometimes they are doing more harm than good. They don’t see it because they choose not to, and even if they are wrong, there is no proving facts with a parental unit. There is no “talking back, if, ands or but’s” what they say goes.

As a himan being a child of a parent should be able to argue their point and parents SHOULD be able to change their mind, being stubborn doesnt change anything and it proves that they are insecure and unsure of thier grounds. But this is reality and the reality is that parents need to show their authority so children will obey. But are parents not Guids into life? They teach us to be stubborn and irrational for no reason other that the basis that if you are able to do it, do it.

It is unfair for me to judge parents until I have become one myself, but I am able to judge based on logic.

Advise to parents or potential parents: Don’t answer your children with “because I am your parent”. It is the answer for an irrational ruling and demonstrates power abuse. Children grow up and need to take on responsibilities, unless you give them to us we will never learn, and if we have demonstrated that we can handle a specific responsibility then there seems to be no logical reasoning to with-hold it from a child.

Seems Logical…

http://www.thedailyplate.com/nutrition/search.php?b=McDonald’s

Alot of people put the blame on the fast-food industry and other industries of the sort, I do blame them but not as much as I blame the person. Sure there are commercials, the taste, billboards and the beloved coupons that become excuses, but my favorite excuse of them all is ” I have no time”. I find this very amusing to say the least.

So we established that these people have no time to eat properly and like their coupons. the lack of time in this part of everyday life scares me. Change your damn schedule or get a reality check! realise that if you are living a life that doesn’t have room for you to eat properly then you are probably, no, definitely on the path to your own self destructive (from the inside) path to death. Eating is just important as breathing and relieving yourself of bodily fluids/solids (though probably just liquid for these fast food addicts), you wouldn’t stop-emptying your bowels if you didn’t have enough time… I applaud if you could, but it isn’t right. Sure you are still eating but its what you are eating.

respect and no control. some ague that its hereditary, well i say there’s still things you can do about the size/health, make a lifestyle change, quit eating crap and start eating something with a nutritional value. Here’s a group that you can join that might help you kick fast food http://alertedeye.wordpress.com/2007/02/28/ecu-the-ethical-consumers-union-est-2007/. There are gyms and and alternatives that can make a difference.

The closer my graduation gets the more i realise that my life has not yet become anything that i can fathom. Throughout highschool people are very much concerned with their friends and social statuses, they are also ignorant of the fact that these friends and rankings in school will not matter or play any significant role in the life after highschool.

The end marks the beginning… a tad cliche but nonetheless it is true in this case. After highschool one meets new people, goes new places and learns new things; the highschool life is inadequate to these new experiences. What I’m saying here is that people sweat the small stuff, worrying about friends and the opposite sex, shoes, and the latest and greatest in reality t.v., which for a teen is not bad but these things should not be taken to heart for the world is much bigger than one’s highschool and social circle ( I know hard to believe but in reality think about how often a person gets caught up in their social life retaining to highschool)

people changes, plans change and we all know that the world changes. I think that a life life for today best suits the highschool life, why should one worry about friends as much as we do? we will make friends and loose friends just as we will find love ans just as quickly loose it or never even know that it was there. The memories are what count, enjoy it while its there because before you realise it will be gone.

Every week-end people make plans and usually come together for a little social gathering. There seems to be no one single purpose to these get togethers, but none the less they always turn out fun. You see people that you haven’t seen in a long time, you meet new people, and of-course you interact with your close friends. These nights, i feel. are the nights that sculpt you as a person. I have learned more things than any school can teach.

Perhaps the most exciting, sometime boring, nights are the ones where you have no solid plans. the plans are the equvilent to a cornstarch and water mixture: right when you think your plans are solid they run right out of your fingers. Have you ever gone somwhere and wondered at the series of events that got you there?

There seems to be alot more to these unplanned nights than meets the eye. For example; if you are leaving work and just happen to bump into someone who has plans and invites you along. Why is it that you had the exact timing to “run” into them? I think that this is a little element the Anglo-Saxons call wyrd or in English it is fate. I’m not a big believer in these types of things but I have no other reason why it is that when you wake up the next morning, you feel like the previous night was surreal.

Maybe the best part of the whole night is the one souvenir you have, or leave behind. In regards to the former, the souviner , no matter how big or small, has a story behind it. This is a story you tell whenever someone asks about the foreign object called a souvenir. One thing about these souvenirs is that people always know that they have some crazy story behind them and that they are always apparent in any surrounding.

These souvenirs are the the photo album of your weekend charades.

I recently took a trip to the states (Bellingham). I went down with a few friends to do some shopping. While in a near mall we stumbled into a sports store, I wish i remembered the name of it, but it was a low end store. It carried EVERYTHING including GUNS AND AMMUNITION.

I have heard alot over the years about the U.S.A and their guns; Columbine and other school shootings, even kindergartners wielding a gun. It was always in the back of my mind that they loved their guns. Crossing the border was eerie to say the least, everyone dressed differently and acted strange. I went in with an open mind, thought that Americans are nice respecting people. Well, this opinion changed as i met some one i like to call “Average Joe”. Joe is an average schmo, overweight and unsatisfied by his low class job. He liked to think he had power because he stood behind the counter that sold guns oput of a sports store. I think he was bitter about his dead end job and took it out people by power tripping. This is also the case for a vast majority of the world.

In Canada, the closest thing we come to a gun in an outlet store is a pellet gun, if that. Naturally my friends and I thought that the guns were replica pellet guns, WRONG!They were full on guns of all sorts, Sniper rifles, shot guns, high powerd rifles and hand guns from a-z; the kicker is that ammunition was right beside the guns. Fascinated by this discovery I asked Joe how many were bought a day on average, he casually replied with: “Usually three, sometimes more”. Then my friend asked what the waiting period was. Again Joe casually replied with a bit of gratification: ” about 5 minutes. We call the FBI and they do a background check”. He also went on to say that they buy both the gun and ammunition and simply walk out… no license to wield it or shoot it. just an OK by the FBI.

I also went on to ask if I could hold one. He shot me down faster that he could buy the gun and load it. Not because there was a law or anything against a Canadian to hold a gun, but because he didn’t feel “comfortable” with a Canadianholding one – Ironic eh? God forbid he let a Canadian hold an unloaded gun with several safety devices preventing me from even pulling the trigger. He was also an Asshole/Dick about the whole thing.

Death is a funny thing, especially when applied to criminals. Some see it just when a criminal is killed for their actions. I on the other-hand feel as-though it is a childish act of vengeance. Who has the right to choose between life and death? Why do we insist on playing GOD?

Sure the killer, rapist, whatever they are, have done wrong. But i know that if i were placed in their position and walked in their shoes, that i would want to be forgiven. after all these people are human. Some of the convicted show “no remorse” and feel as-though they did nothing wrong. Can you really hate a person because their concept of natural law is different? I don’t think one can. It’s just not fathomable. It’s not fair, criminal or not, that theses people are judged on their perception of natural law. I understand fully that they have broken a CRIMINAL LAW, but it’s different from natural law. They don’t even know that what they did was morally wrong, just criminally. That’s the difference. I am not saying that these people are good by any-means; i am simply saying that they don’t deserve to die.

No matter how many people feel that a person deserves to die, there is always going to be some one who feels as thought the person should live. Until the whole world agrees on a person being sent to death row, even the convicted, there should be no death penalty. The world needs to take at look at themselves as to who decides between life and death.

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”

Ghandi

Some of the great arguments are that in some cases the certainty of guilt is not 100%. So why play with life? Here some stats taken from the death row web site:

PUBLIC OPINION

EXECUTIONS SINCE 1976 BY METHOD USED

893 Lethal Injection

153 Electrocution

11 Gas Chamber

3 Hanging

2 Firing Squad

37 of 38 states plus the US government use lethal injection as their primary method. Nebraska is the only state to solely use electrocution. Some states utilizing lethal injection have other methods available as backups.

The May 2006 Gallup Poll found that overall support of the death penalty was 65% (down from 80% in 1994). The same poll revealed that when respondents are given the choice of life without parole as an alternate sentencing option, more choose life without parole (48%) than the death penalty (47%).

Innoncence:

Since 1973, over 120 people have been released from death row with evidence of their innocence.(Staff Report, House Judiciary Subcommittee on Civil & Constitutional Rights, Oct. 1993, with updates from DPIC). In 2000, 8 inmates were freed from death row and exonerated; in 2001 – 2002, another 9 were freed; and in 2003, 12 were exonerated. In 2004, there were 6 exonerations.

Source: NAACP LDF Death Row, U.S.A. (October 1, 2006) (includes cases with temporary reversals)

*When added, state totals are slightly higher because some inmates are sentenced in more than one state.

TOTAL: 3,344*

For me that is too great of a number to be pro death. Thinking of all the innocent lives and families that would be jeopardized makes me feel that life in prison with out parole is a far better choice to make.

I wonder what impact Bush’s decisions will make in our future. Until then here is a video satirizing Bush to tide you over.

School has been free from religious influence for years. Schools now teach no aspect of religion unless it is a part of a background or insight into a topic. Since there is an array of beliefs and religions, it is impossible to teach every religion. Schools are not allowed to influence religion, nor is it there place to. The bottom line is that religion has no place in public education. So why is it that church’s campaign against homosexuality in schools? Todays society has accepted homosexuality. The religious community knows it has no place in schools, so how is it they think that they are able to discriminate against people.

I have always been an open minded person towards religions and church, until I went to a service and there was a sort of rally against homosexuality. They say that it’s a sin. But what if the closest person they knew was a homosexual? What if the pastor was gay? I really wish that they could accept people for who they are. Something tells me that Christians aren’t supposed to judge people, but what are they doing? After that “service” I was disgusted, I could never accept their opinions and views, i certainly didn’t share them. I wish i could have video taped them are showed them to themselves, so they could see what a shameful community they are.

I feel a strong sense of hypocrisy when i hear church’s trying to abolish homosexuality. They don’t understand that, as a community, they are not single handily going to exterminate homosexuality or even change them to what they think is “correct”.

They are fighting a loosing battle. They ARE intittled to their own opinion, but there becomes a time when stressing your opinion is inappropriate.
