I am Derek… a high-school student. I decided to start a blog after taking advice from someone who i have a great deal of respect for. His blog has given me ideas i often comment on his blogs, so instead of commenting, I will write my own.
About me:
I am a fairly active guy; I play badminton, and hockey. I am apart of my schools “Reach For The Top” team. I volunteer throughout my school. I am taking Advanced Placement courses; English, European History, and Art History. School has become, interestingly enough, interesting. I find myself wanting to learn and expand my knowledge.
I am employed at a Famous Players theatre as a projectionist.
Music has become a big part of my life. While working at the theatre I heard my first Death Cab For Cutie song. I admit it took time for me to attach myself to the band, but now they are a favorite. Some of my other favorites are The Postal Service, Coldplay, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana.
I will have been to two proms. I have been to Las Vegas and the happiest place on earth : Disney Land. Other than that I havent been out to see the world…YET
